Mitcham Centre Update, Details for Wimbledon to follow shorlty

We are pleased to announce that Mitcham pool will reopen week commencing 2nd November. Thankyou for bearing with us while we have been closed.

Final risk assessments are being carried out. Due to guidance from the government and national swimming bodies there will be some changes to our course dates and swim lesson timetable. This is so we can clean between each lesson. Details are to follow on restrictions, measures and what `Dolphins are doing to protect you.

Firstly the team at Dolphins would like to say a big thankyou for your patience and support throughout this difficult period. We have all had to adjust to the challenging and changing times and it looks like this may continue for a good while. Also thankyou for your response to our previous emails, registering your interest and confirming your return.

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic many pools have been running at a loss for several months. With increased fees, overheads and keeping pools ticking over even though they have been empty. Swim schools have had no choice but to raise their swimming lesson fees substantially.
Unfortunately Dolphin Swim School is no different. What we are not doing is passing all those costs to you. Unlike other schools we do not charge admin fees, enrollment fees or cancellation fees. Dolphins have had to make an increase to swimming lesson prices in order to keep the business viable. In the table below you will see some small increases and some reductions. Considerably less than most swim schools in the area.

For now at least, we have to amend our opening hours. There will be some changes to swimming lesson times in order to include a cleaning rota as per Swim England guidelines. Dolphins are to open on 2nd November, operating with a reduced timetable and limiting spaces to avoid overcrowding. This will allow everyone to keep to the two meter distancing rule set out by the Government.
